How Rippin' works

Just ride. Rippin' does the rest.

You don't babysit the app while you ride. Tap Record Ride once and Rippin' tracks your route, clocks the segments you hit, watches the turf you cover, and saves the whole thing to share. Here's the walkthrough.

One tap, then ride

Hit Record. We handle the rest.

There's really only one thing you have to do. Everything else — segments, turf, stats, your ride story — happens on its own while you ride.

  1. 01

    Tap Record Ride

One button on the home screen. That's the whole setup — no route to build, no laps to arm.

  2. 02

    Ride like normal

Phone in your pocket. Rippin' tracks your route, distance, elevation, and speed in the background — and clocks any segments and turf you cover.

  3. 03

    Tap Stop

Get a Ride Wrapped recap with your map, stats, segments, and turf — ready to post to your feed.

Recording a ride

Every ride, captured automatically.

This is the heart of Rippin'. No lap buttons, no route setup — just Record and go. When you stop, your ride is saved with its route map, distance, moving time, and elevation.

  1. 1Open Rippin' and tap Record Ride on the home screen.
  2. 2Ride your route — keep the phone away and let it track in the background.
  3. 3Tap Stop to save your Ride Wrapped recap and share it to the feed.

Segments

Clock famous roads without lifting a finger.

Segments are legendary stretches of road. Ride through one and Rippin' times you automatically, then drops you onto the leaderboard — no start or stop button to hit.

  1. 1Find segments near you on the Explore map.
  2. 2Just ride the segment — timing starts and stops on its own.
  3. 3Check the leaderboard to see your rank and chase your best time.

Turf

Ride a loop. Claim the territory.

Turf is your presence on the map. Ride a loop and Rippin' claims the ground inside it — then it's yours to hold with active rides and defend from other riders and squads.

  1. 1Ride a loop that closes back on itself.
  2. 2Rippin' fills in the territory you circled and stakes your claim.
  3. 3Keep riding it to hold your turf — watch the Explore map to see who owns what.

Poker runs

Ride the stops. Draw the best hand.

A poker run turns a ride into a game. Hit each stop, draw a card, and the best five-card hand at the end wins the pot.

  1. 1Join an active poker run in the app.
  2. 2Ride to each stop and check in to draw your card.
  3. 3Collect all five — the strongest hand takes it.

Garage

Your bikes, rides, and stats in one place.

The Garage is your moto home base — every bike, every recorded ride, your lifetime miles, your XP and level, and the badges you've earned along the way.

  1. 1Add your bikes to build out your garage.
  2. 2See every recorded ride with its route and stats.
  3. 3Track your XP, level up, and collect badges as you ride.

FAQ

Good questions before you ride.

Do I have to start and stop segments?

No. Segments clock automatically as you ride through them — just record your ride and Rippin' handles the timing and leaderboard.

Do I need to hold my phone while riding?

No. Start the ride, pocket the phone, and Rippin' tracks your route in the background.

How do I claim turf?

Ride a loop that closes back on itself. Rippin' claims the ground inside it, and you hold it by keeping the turf active with rides.

Does recording drain my battery?

Rippin' is built to track efficiently in the background. On longer rides, keep your phone topped up like you would with any GPS app.

Is Rippin' free?

Yes. Download and start recording rides for free on iPhone and Android.
