Gear Drop Official Rules

No purchase or membership is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. These rules apply to every Gear Drop in the Rippin' app (some screens call them giveaways). Each drop's own page in the app lists its prize, the prize value, how many entries one rider can hold, and how many entry spots the drop has. Where a drop's page and these rules disagree, these rules win.

1. Sponsor

Gear Drops are run by Rippin' App, operated by Teo Reece Anthony ("Rippin'", "we", "us"). Questions go through the support page.

Apple Inc., Google LLC, Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), and TikTok are not sponsors of Gear Drops and are not involved with them in any way. Brands that donate a prize are prize providers, not sponsors, unless the drop's page says otherwise.

2. Who can enter

• Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
• 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) when you enter.
• A Rippin' account in good standing. One account per person.
• Not eligible: Rippin' staff and contractors, people who work for the prize provider of that drop, and members of their immediate families or households.

3. How to enter

A drop opens when it appears in the app and closes when all of its entry spots are taken or its end or draw date passes, whichever comes first. Entries must be received while the drop is open. You enter in the Rippin' app, any of these ways:

• Free entry. Every eligible rider gets one free entry per drop. Open the drop in the app and claim it. No points, purchase, or membership needed.
• Points entries. Each additional entry costs 250 points (150 points for Rippin' Plus and Organizer Pro members). Points are earned for free by riding and using the app, have no cash value, and can't be bought, sold, or transferred.
• Member entry credits. Rippin' Plus members get 5 entry credits each calendar month and Organizer Pro members get 9. One credit is one entry. Unused credits don't roll over.

Every entry, however it was made, has the same chance of winning. Each drop shows the most entries one rider can hold (usually 10); entries from all methods count toward that limit. Entries are final once made. If we cancel a drop, points spent on it are returned.

Entries made with more than one account, fake or simulated rides, GPS spoofing, bots, or any other way around these rules are void, and we may disqualify the rider from current and future drops.

4. The drawing

We draw a winner within 14 days after a drop closes. The winner is selected at random by computer from all eligible entries received for that drop, so a rider holding three entries has three chances. Our decisions on the drawing and on eligibility are final.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. A drop can never receive more entries than its total spots, so with a 150-spot drop each entry has at least a 1-in-150 chance.

5. Winner notification

We notify the winner in the app, by push notification, and at the email on their account. The winner has 14 days to reply with a US shipping address and confirm they're eligible. If they don't reply in time, can't be reached, aren't eligible, or don't follow these rules, the prize is forfeited and we may draw an alternate winner from the remaining entries.

When a winner is drawn, their Rippin' username and profile photo appear on the drop in the app. By entering, you agree we may show your username, profile photo, and city as the winner in the app and on Rippin's social accounts, where the law allows, without further payment.

6. Prizes

• Each drop's prize and its approximate retail value (ARV) are shown on the drop. One prize per drop unless the drop says otherwise.
• We ship prizes to US addresses at no cost to the winner, usually within 30 days of confirming the address.
• Prizes can't be exchanged for cash or transferred. Sizes and colors are as listed on the drop. If a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute one of equal or greater value.
• Taxes on a prize are the winner's responsibility. If a winner's prizes from Rippin' total $600 or more in a calendar year, we'll ask for a completed IRS Form W-9 before shipping and will issue a Form 1099.
• Partner prizes carry the partner's own product warranty only. Rippin' makes no warranty on prizes.

7. General conditions

We may cancel, pause, or change a drop if fraud, a technical failure, or anything else outside our control affects its fairness. By entering, you agree to these rules and to our decisions, and you release Rippin' and the prize provider from claims arising from your entry or from accepting or using a prize, except where the law doesn't allow that release.

We handle entry information under our privacy policy and use it only to run the drop and deliver the prize. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of California.
