Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Rippin' apps for iPhone and Android, rippin.app, live.rippin.app and rippin.shop (together, the "Service"), operated by Teo Reece Anthony ("Rippin'", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Rippin' is a motorcycle app that rewards riding. Riders record rides, claim territory in Turf Wars, collect cards on poker runs, ride segments, earn points, XP and badges, enter gear drops, and plan rides with squads and meets. It also includes ride planning, AI trip suggestions, maps and a public web map at live.rippin.app.

The Service is informational and community tooling only. Routes, segments, turf, poker stops, leaderboards, recommendations, ride plans, maps, passport campaigns and challenge features are there to help riders discover and organize experiences. They are not driving or riding instructions, professional safety advice, race management, coaching or emergency guidance.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Rippin'. Some features, like gear drops, require you to be 18.
• You can sign in with Apple, Google or an email link. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method and account secure.
• One account per person. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
• You may not create accounts to farm points or entries, abuse free trials, evade moderation, spam riders or impersonate someone else.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app.

3. Riding safely

Motorcycling involves risk. Ride within your ability, obey all traffic, road-use, noise, safety and speed laws, and use your own judgment about roads, conditions, group rides and routes.

• Don't use your phone while riding. Set up a ride before you go, and let Rippin' record in the background.
• Nothing in Rippin' requires speed. Turf comes from riding loops, poker cards come from reaching a stop, and points come from riding. Segments and leaderboards are personal challenge tools only. They do not tell you when, where, how fast or how aggressively to ride.
• Never trespass, ride where riding isn't allowed, or enter private property to claim turf, reach a stop or record a ride.

You may not use the Service to organize, encourage, celebrate or facilitate street racing, timed public-road competition, unsafe group riding, evasion of law enforcement, or any other conduct that creates unreasonable risk to riders, passengers, pedestrians or the public.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Rippin' for illegal, abusive, harassing, dangerous, deceptive or harmful activity. You also agree not to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or bypass security controls for the Service.

Rippin' has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post threats, harassment, hate, sexually explicit or exploitative content, spam, impersonation, or content that encourages illegal activity. Riders can report content and block users in the app. Blocking removes that user's content from the blocker's feed immediately and notifies Rippin' for review. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, eject users or suspend accounts.

5. Fair play

Turf, points, poker hands, leaderboards and gear drops only work if everyone's rides are real. You may not:

• fake, spoof or simulate GPS location, or record rides you didn't ride on a motorcycle;
• use more than one account, or share an account, to earn more points, turf, cards or entries;
• use bots, scripts or modified apps, or exploit bugs, to gain an advantage.

If we believe someone broke these rules, we may remove the rides, turf, points, cards, badges, gear drop entries or prizes involved, reset leaderboards, and suspend or close accounts.

6. Points, levels and other in-app items

Points, XP, levels, badges, turf, poker cards, cosmetics and other in-app items are part of the game. They have no cash value, aren't your property, and can't be bought, sold, traded or transferred outside the features we offer. Points can't be bought with money.

We may change how items are earned, what they cost and what they unlock, and we may correct balances that are wrong because of a bug or abuse. In-app items end when your account is deleted or closed.

7. Gear drops

Gear drops are prize drawings in the app. No purchase is necessary. Each drop is governed by the Gear Drop Official Rules, which control if they conflict with these terms.

8. Memberships and in-app purchases

• Rippin' Plus and Organizer Pro are monthly subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They renew automatically until you cancel.
• Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
• Gifted memberships are one-time purchases that add membership time to the recipient's account.
• Playing Rippin' is free. Memberships change what rides earn and what some items cost, not what you're allowed to do. We may change prices and included benefits. Price changes apply from your next renewal, as Apple and Google allow.

9. Merch

Merch sold on rippin.shop is paid through Stripe and ships to US addresses. Prices, taxes, shipping costs and estimated delivery are shown at checkout. If an item is mispriced or unavailable, we may cancel the order and refund you. For order problems, contact us through the support page.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of content you upload or create, including profile details, photos, posts, comments, squad messages, ride plans, ride recordings, GPX files and event submissions. You grant Rippin' a limited license to host, store, display, transmit and process that content so the Service can operate, including showing public content on live.rippin.app and in share links.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Community content

Rippin' includes user-generated content and user-to-user messaging. We may remove content, limit distribution, suspend accounts, eject users or take other action when content violates these terms, creates safety issues or harms the community.

User-submitted segments, route notes, pace notes, safety claims, local recommendations and ride descriptions may be incomplete, biased, stale, inaccurate or reckless. We may review, limit or remove this content at any time, including when it appears to promote unsafe riding, racing behavior, trespass or rule-breaking.

12. Businesses, partners and events

Poker stops, partner businesses, sponsors and meets hosted by other riders are run by those businesses and people, not by Rippin'. We don't control their premises, products, offers or events and aren't responsible for them.

13. AI features

AI-generated trip plans, recommendations, categories, summaries, spoken guidance and other outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Treat them as suggestions. You are responsible for checking roads, conditions, laws, fuel range, closures, safety and whether a plan fits your group.

14. Third-party services

Rippin' works with services such as Apple, Google, Supabase, Stripe, map and weather providers, AI providers, Spotify and Instagram. Their own terms and policies may apply when you use them through Rippin'.

15. Assumption of risk and disclaimers

You understand that motorcycling, route discovery, riding with other people, and using roads suggested by software or other riders carry inherent risk of injury, death, property damage, citations, delays and other losses. You voluntarily assume those risks when you use the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Rippin' will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or suitable for any specific ride, route, road surface, segment, traffic condition, weather condition, meetup or riding decision.

Rippin' does not warrant the accuracy, legality, safety, condition or current availability of roads, businesses, poker stops, checkpoints, map geometry, segment rankings, rider reports or user-generated recommendations. You are responsible for independently evaluating what you see in the Service before you act on it.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rippin' and its operators will not be liable for any injury, death, crash, traffic citation, bike damage, lost data, lost profits, business interruption, or other direct or indirect loss arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your riding decisions, your interactions with other riders, or your reliance on routes, segments, maps, recommendations, events, or other content surfaced through the Service.

This limitation applies even if we were advised that harm was possible and even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. If your jurisdiction does not allow certain liability exclusions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

17. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the app changes and will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. We may also suspend or terminate access if needed to protect riders or the Service, or to comply with law. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
