Privacy Policy

Rippin' App ("Rippin'", "we", "us", or "our") is a motorcycle social and ride-planning app operated by Teo Reece Anthony. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to contact us.

The short version: Rippin' needs account, profile, location, ride, squad, community, and support data to make the app work. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, Apple sign-in identifier, username, display name, and authentication metadata.
• Profile data: profile photos, banner photos, garage details, rider bio, badges, points, towns, and riding stats.
• Ride and route data: ride plans, waypoints, RSVPs, live ride state, recorded ride routes, imported GPX files, ride photos, and ride history.
• Squad and community data: squads, invites, chat, posts, comments, likes, reports, events, organizer claims, and moderation actions.
• Device and usage data: push tokens, app events, AI trip usage counts, subscription entitlement state, diagnostics, and service logs.

2. Location data

Rippin' uses location for map positioning, nearby routes and events, weather, ride planning, ride recording, and optional live ride context. Background location is used only while an active ride recording or navigation-style ride session is running.

3. Photos and user content

If you upload profile photos, banner photos, ride photos, event images, posts, comments, chat messages, or GPX files, we store and process that content so the app can display and share it as intended.

4. AI trip planning

When you use AI trip planning, relevant trip prompts, route preferences, stops, and generated itinerary context may be sent to AI service providers through our backend so the feature can produce a response.

5. Service providers

Rippin' may use service providers for authentication, database hosting, storage, push notifications, email, maps, AI features, payments, and diagnostics. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to Rippin'.

6. Community and safety

Rippin' includes user-generated content and user-to-user messaging. Reports, moderation data, and related context may be reviewed to enforce safety rules, respond to abuse, and protect the service.

7. Your choices

• You can update most profile and app data in the app.
• You can revoke permissions such as location, photos, notifications, and microphone in iOS Settings.
• You can request account deletion or data export by contacting us.
• You can stop using live ride sharing by ending the active ride session or disabling the relevant permission.

8. Retention and security

We keep data as long as needed to provide the app, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain safety. We use reasonable technical measures such as encrypted transport, access controls, and backend policies, but no service is perfectly secure.

9. Children

Rippin' is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as Rippin' changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
