Motorcycle gear giveaways you enter by riding

In practice
How a rider stacks entries
Take a rider who commutes during the week and does one long ride on Saturday. Every ride pays points. The Saturday ride closes a loop and claims turf, runs through a couple of segments and stops at a poker stop, so it pays more. A new town on the way earns a passport stamp, and that pays too.
When a drop opens for a jacket they want, they use the free entry first. Then they spend points on extra entries for that one drop instead of spreading thin across everything. On Plus the same points buy more entries, because each one costs 150 instead of 250, and the 5 free entries a month cover a lot of drops before they spend a single point. Rides also pay 1.5x on Plus, so the points come in faster too.
The rules
Fair, and no purchase necessary
Every drop is no purchase necessary, open to riders 18 and over in the US, with the winner drawn at random. The full terms are in the official rules. Points are earned by riding, and riding faster doesn't earn more. Rippin' never rewards speed on public roads.
Tips
Tips for getting more entries
- Use your free entry on every drop. It costs nothing.
- Focus your points on the prize you actually want.
- Points come from more than miles. Badges, passport stamps and rating roads you've ridden all pay. See points and rewards.
- A loop that hits a poker stop and closes into turf pays more than the same miles out and back.
- If you ride every week, run the math on Plus: 5 free entries a month plus cheaper extra entries.
Why
Why Rippin' gives gear away
The idea behind Rippin' is simple: get rewarded for riding. Most apps give you a map and a stats page. Rippin' turns the ride into points, and gear drops are where those points turn into something you can wear or mount on the bike.
That's also why the free entry exists. A rider who just downloaded the app has the same shot at the free entry as someone who's been riding with Rippin' all season. Riding more only adds entries on top.
For brands
Sponsor a gear drop
Gear in a drop goes to riders who earned their entries on the road. If you're a brand that wants to put product in front of them, start on the partners page.
