Points and rewards
Earn points for riding motorcycle miles, then spend them on gear
In Rippin' you earn points for riding motorcycle miles, and for the turf, segments and poker hands those miles pick up. Badges, passport stamps and rating roads pay too. Spend points on gear-drop entries, turf locks and rider rewards. It's free on iPhone and Android, and Plus pays 1.5x.

Earning
How to earn points for riding motorcycle miles and more
Points come from the ride itself and from what the ride touches.
- MilesEvery recorded ride pays for the miles you put down.
- TurfClose a loop and claim land in Turf Wars.
- SegmentsRide through a rider-added road and land on its board.
- Poker handsFinish a five-card hand at real poker stops.
- Badges and passport stampsRide through a new town or unlock a badge for a place you've actually been. See passport and badges.
- Rating roadsRate a segment you've ridden and help the next rider decide.
Spending
Where points go: the Points Shop
- Gear-drop entriesExtra entries cost 250 points, or 150 on Plus. Every rider still gets one free entry per drop. See gear drops.
- Turf locksLock your best ground so nobody can carve it. Plus gets 25% off.
- Rider rewardsSpend points on rider rewards in the Points Shop, too.
Plans
Free, Plus and Organizer Pro points
The multiplier applies to what a ride pays. If a ride pays 100 points on the free plan, the same ride pays 150 on Plus and 200 on Organizer Pro. Members also pay less to spend: an extra gear-drop entry is 150 points instead of 250, and locks are 25% off. Put those together and a rider on Plus gets to an extra entry in well under half the riding a free rider needs.
| Free | Plus ($4.99/mo) | Organizer Pro ($8.99/mo) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Points on every ride | Yes | 1.5x | 2x |
| Extra gear-drop entry | 250 points | 150 points | 150 points |
| Free entries a month | None | 5 | 9 |
| Turf locks | Points price | 25% off | 25% off |
Free riders earn on every ride, and every part of the game is free and unlimited. Membership changes what rides pay, not what you can do.
In practice
One ride, five ways to earn
Say you ride 90 miles on a Sunday. The miles pay. Your route runs through a canyon segment a local rider added, so you land on its board, and afterward you rate the road, which pays again. You stop at a dealership that's a poker stop and pick up the last card for your hand, which posts and pays. You ride through a town you've never been, so your passport gets a stamp. And because you took a different road home, the whole ride closes into a loop and claims turf.
That one ride paid five ways. A month of rides like that is how riders build up enough for a stack of entries on a drop they want, or a lock around the canyon they love.
Points vs XP
Points aren't the same as XP
Points are what you spend. XP is what you keep: it builds your rider level from 1 to 25, and level-ups post to the feed. You earn both by riding, and they're tracked separately. More in levels and XP.
Fair play
What doesn't pay
Speed. Rippin' does not reward speed on public roads, and segments are about who owns the road, not a race. Ride your pace, ride legal, and ride more roads. That's what pays.
Tips
Tips for stacking points
- Always record. A ride you didn't record pays nothing. If you forget a lot, auto-record on Plus fixes that.
- Close your loops. A different road home claims turf.
- Route past a poker stop or through a segment. A small detour pays.
- Rate the roads you ride. It takes seconds.
- Ride new towns for passport stamps.
