The deal

How cards are dealt

Poker stops are real places riders already go: moto shops, cafes, bars and dealerships. You'll find them on the Explore map in the app and on the web at live.rippin.app/poker.

Ride there with Rippin' recording and the stop deals you one card when you arrive. There's nothing to scan and nobody to find at the counter. The app knows you're there, so the card lands in your hand and you can go get a coffee.

The hand

The motorcycle poker run app rules, step by step

  1. 1

    Find stops

Open the map and pick stops you can link into a ride. Five cards means five stops, so plan a route that strings them together.

  2. 2

    Ride there recording

Tap Record Ride before you leave. Cards come from arriving at the stop, not from tapping anything.

  3. 3

    Collect the card

Each stop deals one card into your hand when you pull in.

  4. 4

    Hold five

Keep riding to stops until you're holding five cards.

  5. 5

    Swap what you don't want

Swap out the cards that don't help and build toward a better hand.

  6. 6

    Post your hand

Your finished hand posts to the poker leaderboard, and it pays points.

Strategy

Swaps: what to keep and what to toss

If you haven't played poker in a while, here's the standard order of hands, strongest first. Use it to decide which cards are worth keeping before you swap.

A simple rule: keep pairs and anything that's already working toward a flush or straight, swap the loners.

In practice

A Sunday poker run with the crew

Four friends meet at a cafe that's a poker stop, so everybody starts with a card before the kickstands go up. The route heads inland to a dealership, over a pass to a bar with a big lot, back down to a moto shop, and finishes at a taco spot on the coast. Five stops, five cards, one long loop.

By the third stop one rider is holding two kings and talking about it. At the end everyone swaps what they don't want and posts their hand. Because the route closed into a loop, the ride claimed turf too, and every hand paid points toward the next gear drop.

Crew

Squad poker runs

Squads can set up their own poker runs for the crew, which is the easiest way to turn a club ride into an event. Pick the stops, share the plan, and see whose hand wins. Set one up from your squad, and pair it with a ride plan or AI-built route so nobody misses a stop.
