Levels and XP

Motorcycle app levels you earn by riding, 1 to 25

Rippin' has rider levels from 1 to 25, and the only way up is to ride. Every ride earns XP, your level moves as it stacks up, and each level-up posts to the feed where your crew can see it. Like the rest of the game, motorcycle app levels in Rippin' are free on iPhone and Android.

What it is

What motorcycle app levels are for

Miles are a fine stat, but they don't tell you much. A rider with 400 miles of short weekday rides and a rider with one 400-mile day have the same number. Levels give you a running sense of how much you've been out, and a reason to take the long way home.

Rippin' keeps it simple. There are 25 rider levels. You earn XP by riding, and your level climbs as your XP does. Nobody buys a level.

XP vs points

XP and points are two different things

Both come from riding. Only points get spent. See points and rewards for how the shop works.

How it works

How you level up

  1. 1

    Record your rides

Tap Record Ride and ride. Commutes, errands and weekend loops all count as riding.

  2. 2

    Earn XP

Each ride adds XP toward your next level.

  3. 3

    Level up

When you cross into a new level, it posts to the feed.

  4. 4

    Keep climbing

There are 25 levels, so there's always another one ahead.

On a real ride

Your first month on the app

You sign up on a Sunday and start at level 1. That week you record your commute every day and one Saturday loop with a friend. By the next weekend you've moved up, and the level-up shows in the feed. Two riders from a local squad you just joined comment on it.

That's most of what levels are for. They're a small, public sign that you've been out riding, and they give people in your area a reason to say hello. A rider at a high level has clearly put the miles in. If you're new to riding, the beginner's guide to motorcycle apps covers what else to set up first.

Free vs Plus

Levels are free for every rider

Every rider levels from 1 to 25 on the free plan. Rippin' Plus ($4.99/mo) pays 1.5x points on every ride and adds auto-recording, which helps if you often forget to tap Record. Levels come from riding, so the way to climb is to ride.

How it connects

Where your level shows up

Your level and XP sit in your Garage with your bikes, lifetime miles and badges. Level-ups post to the feed alongside rides, turf claims and bike adds. And because leveling up means riding more, it tends to fill your passport and your points balance along the way.
