Oklahoma motorcycle events, rallies and bike nights

Oklahoma motorcycle events are mostly local: bike nights in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, charity rides and toy runs, Route 66 gatherings and fall foliage rides on the Talimena. For a big rally, Oklahoma riders head to Bikes, Blues & BBQ in Arkansas, the Lone Star Rally in Texas or Sturgis in South Dakota. Here's the calendar, and how to find and post events in the free Rippin' app.

Upcoming Oklahoma motorcycle events in Rippin'

The list right below comes from the Rippin' events map, where riders, clubs and shops post bike nights, rallies, charity rides and toy runs. Organizers set the details and they can change, so confirm before you ride out.

Oklahoma's events map is still thin, which means a bike night or charity ride you post gets seen. If your regular meet isn't listed, add it and set it to repeat.

Bike nights, charity rides and track days in Oklahoma

Bike nights happen weekly at dealerships, bars and burger joints around Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Norman, Stillwater and Lawton. In summer many start later in the evening to dodge the heat.

Charity rides and poker runs are a big part of the Oklahoma calendar, especially in spring and fall. The classic version has riders collect a card at each stop and the best hand wins. Read what a motorcycle poker run is.

Fall foliage rides to the Talimena Byway and Beavers Bend fill late October and early November weekends, whether or not anyone posts them as an event.

Track days. If you want to ride fast, do it on a track. Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Jennings, west of Tulsa, is a long-running road course that has hosted motorcycle track days. Check its calendar for this year's schedule.

Seasons

Oklahoma's motorcycle event calendar, by season

Spring (March to May): Charity rides and poker runs return, and the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride lands in May. It's also storm season, so outdoor events get moved or cancelled on short notice.

Summer (June to August): Bike nights move later in the evening, lake runs take over, and riders bound for Sturgis head north in early August.

Fall (September to November): The best stretch. Bikes, Blues & BBQ in September, Talimena foliage rides in late October and early November, and the Lone Star Rally in Texas in November.

Winter (December to February): Toy runs in December, then mostly indoor meets and dry-day rides. See the best time to ride in Oklahoma.
