Races to watch

Flat track and racing in Illinois

Illinois is flat track country. The Springfield Mile is a fast, wide-open mile on a dirt oval, and the Peoria TT mixes jumps and both-direction turns on a hillside course. Both are races to watch, and both have long histories in the sport.

If you want to ride fast yourself, find a track day or a riding school. On the street, keep it legal. Rippin' never rewards speed on public roads.

Post your Illinois motorcycle event

Illinois's events map is still filling in, so a bike night you post gets seen. Any rider can post one for free, and the Illinois overview shows how the rest of Rippin' works across the state.

Shops and clubs that host a lot of events can use Organizer Pro ($8.99/mo) for unlimited and recurring meets, official events and recurring ride plans. A Route 66 diner, Galena cafe or Chicago shop can also become a poker stop, so every rider who shows up gets dealt a card.
