Nevada events

Nevada motorcycle events, rallies and bike nights

Nevada motorcycle events start with two big rallies at opposite ends of the state: the Laughlin River Run on the Colorado River each spring and Street Vibrations in Reno each fall. The rest of the year belongs to weekly bike nights, club rides and charity runs in Las Vegas and Reno. Here's the calendar, how to ride to each rally, and how to find and post local events in the free Rippin' app.

Getting there

Riding to Laughlin and Reno

To Laughlin: From Las Vegas, the usual route is US 95 south past Searchlight, then SR 163 east down to the river. Riders from Southern California usually come in on I-40 through Needles, then north on US 95 to the same turnoff. Spring in Laughlin is warm, but the desert mornings on the way down can be cold, and wind is common.

To Reno: Coming from the Bay Area or Sacramento, I-80 over Donner Summit is the direct route, and US 50 over Echo Summit to Lake Tahoe is the scenic one. Once you're there, Geiger Grade to Virginia City, Mount Rose Highway and the Tahoe shore are the rides everyone does. They're all on our Nevada roads guide.

Lane splitting is legal in California and not in Nevada, so the habit has to stop at the state line. The rules are on the Nevada motorcycle laws page.
