Wyoming events
Wyoming motorcycle events, rally week and bike nights
Wyoming motorcycle events peak in August, when the Sturgis rally next door sends riders pouring into northeast Wyoming for Devils Tower, Sundance, Hulett and the Bighorns. The rest of the calendar follows the short summer: the Beartooth and Yellowstone openings in spring, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in May and toy runs in December. Below is the live list from the Rippin' events map, then the recurring events and how to find or post a bike night.

Wyoming's map is wide open. Rippin' started in Southern California, and few Wyoming events are posted so far, so a bike night you add is one every rider in your town can find. For roads, seasons and laws, see the Wyoming state guide.

Riding Wyoming during Sturgis week
Devils Tower is one of the classic day rides from the Sturgis rally, and the loop through Sundance, Devils Tower, Hulett and Aladdin on WY 24 gets busy. Hulett, a small town near the tower, becomes a popular stop. Expect heavy traffic, packed gas stations and full lodging in Sundance, Gillette and Newcastle.
For a bigger day, riders cross the Bighorns on US 14 or US 16. Coming from the west, a common route links Yellowstone, Cody and the Bighorns before heading east. Leave early, fuel up whenever you can and ride in daylight: deer and pronghorn are out at dusk. The roads are in the best motorcycle roads in Wyoming.

Find a Wyoming bike night, or post your own
In a state this spread out, a weekly meet is how riders find each other. Rippin' puts bike nights on the same map as turf, segments and poker stops.
Shops, clubs and brands that host a lot can use Organizer Pro ($8.99/mo) for unlimited and recurring meets, official events on the calendar and recurring ride plans. A cafe, saloon or shop can also become a poker stop. More on motorcycle events in Rippin'.

Busy weeks to plan around
These change the roads and the lodging. Dates move, so check before you go.
- Cheyenne Frontier Days, late July: a huge rodeo and western celebration that fills Cheyenne.
- Sturgis week, early August: heavy rider traffic around Devils Tower, Sundance and the Bighorns.
- Peak park season, July and August: Yellowstone and Grand Teton lodging books up early, and roads slow to a crawl at wildlife.
- Fall hunting season: more trucks and trailers on back roads, and more wildlife moving.
Before you go
Before you ride to a Wyoming event
Timing matters as much as the event. See the best time to ride in Wyoming for openings, storms and wind.
- Confirm the date and place with the organizer the week before. Plans change.
- Plan fuel. Gaps between towns can be long, especially in the basins.
- Check the road, wind and weather on WYDOT and in the app the morning you leave.
- Pack layers and rain gear. A summer afternoon storm can drop the temperature fast.
- Ride home in daylight. Deer, pronghorn and cattle are hardest to see at dusk.
- Share a ride plan with your squad so everyone knows the departure time, route and stops.
