Loop builder and navigation
A motorcycle loop route builder: tap the roads, then ride it
Rippin' has a motorcycle loop route builder where you tap roads on the map to draw a loop, then ride it with turn-by-turn directions inside Rippin' or hand it to Apple Maps or Google Maps. While you record, you get route options, arrival time, traffic and the posted speed limit. It's free on iPhone and Android.

How it works
How the motorcycle loop route builder works
- 1
Open the map
Start from home or wherever you'll leave from.
- 2
Tap the roads you want
Tap roads on the map in order. The builder links them into a route.
- 3
Close the loop
Bring it back to the start. A closed loop is also what claims land in Turf Wars.
- 4
Pick how to navigate
Ride it with turn-by-turn in Rippin', or hand it off to Apple Maps or Google Maps.
- 5
Record and ride
Tap Record Ride so the loop counts for turf, segments, poker cards and points.
In practice
Building a loop that does everything
It's Saturday morning and you have three hours. You open the map and see a segment up a canyon 20 miles away, a cafe on the far side that's a poker stop, and a big empty area with nobody's turf on it.
You tap the roads: out on the highway, up the canyon segment, over to the cafe, and back on a different road along the reservoir so the route closes. The loop wraps around that empty area. You send it to turn-by-turn, tap Record Ride, and go. When you're back, the ride has put you on the segment's board, dealt you a card and claimed all the land inside the loop. Three hours, one route you built in two minutes.
How it connects
Loop builder plus the AI planner
Not sure where to start? Let the AI ride planner draft a loop, day trip or multi-day run with stops and pacing, then fine-tune it here by tapping roads. Share the result as a ride card with your squad, and check road and weather alerts before you go.
Straight answers
Where dedicated navigation apps are better
Rippin' is a ride game and a crew app with good navigation, not a navigation-first app. It has no offline maps and no CarPlay or Android Auto. If you ride remote areas with no signal, or navigation is the main thing you need, REVER and Calimoto are better at that. We compare them fairly in Rippin' vs REVER and Rippin' vs Calimoto.
A lot of riders use both: build the loop in Rippin', hand it to the maps app they like, and keep Rippin' recording for turf, segments and points. For more options, see our free motorcycle GPS app guide.

Tips
Tips for better loops
- Come home a different way. Out and back on the same road doesn't close a loop.
- Check the map for segments and poker stops near your route before you lock it in.
- Mount the phone where you can see directions at a glance, and set it up before you ride.
- Download an offline map in another app if the loop goes through dead zones.
- Watch the posted speed limit on roads you don't know.
