What it is

What a motorcycle ride recap should actually tell you

Most ride trackers end with a list of numbers. You get a distance and a time and that's it. Ride Wrapped is built to answer the questions you actually have when you pull into the lot: where did I go, how far was it, did I get timed on any roads, did I take any ground, and what did that ride pay.

So every ride ends with a recap of the map, the miles, the segments, the turf and the points. It's swipeable, one thing per screen, so you can scroll it at a gas station without squinting. Behind the recap the ride is saved with its route, distance, moving time and elevation, so the full record is there when you want it.

How it works

From Record to recap in three taps

  1. 1

    Tap Record Ride

One button on the home screen. No route to set up, no lap buttons. See the free motorcycle ride tracker for how recording works.

  2. 2

    Ride like normal

Phone in your pocket. Rippin' tracks the route, distance, moving time, elevation and speed in the background.

  3. 3

    Tap Stop

Ride Wrapped opens right away with the recap of the ride you just finished.

  4. 4

    Swipe through it

Map, miles, segments, turf and points, one screen at a time.

  5. 5

    Share it

Post it to the feed for your crew, or send a share card to your Instagram story or feed.

On a real ride

A Saturday canyon loop, start to finish

You meet two friends at a coffee spot at 8, tap Record Ride, and head out on a loop through the hills. On the way you pass through two segments other riders added. Nobody touches a phone. The loop closes back where it started, so the land inside it becomes turf with your name on it.

Back at the coffee spot you tap Stop. Wrapped shows the line you rode on the map, the miles, the two segments you got timed on and that you're now on their boards, the new turf, and the points the ride paid. You post it to the feed so your squad sees it, then share the turf card to your story. Total time on the phone: under a minute.

Tips

Getting a better recap

How it connects

Where the recap comes from

Wrapped is the end of the ride, so it pulls from everything that happened during it. The turf screen comes from Turf Wars. The segments screen comes from segments and leaderboards. The points total is what you'll spend in the Points Shop on gear-drop entries and turf locks.

Riding with a crew? Rides you post land in the feed where your squad can see them. And if you ride a lot and forget to tap Record, Plus has auto-recording and the Ride Log.

FAQ

Questions riders ask.

What is a motorcycle ride recap?

It's the summary you get after a ride. In Rippin' it's called Ride Wrapped and it shows the map, miles, segments, turf and points from the ride, ready to share.

Is Ride Wrapped free?

Yes. Every recorded ride gets a Ride Wrapped recap on the free plan, on iPhone and Android.

Can I share my ride to Instagram?

Yes. Rippin' makes share cards for rides, turf and stats sized for Instagram stories and posts, so you don't have to screenshot and crop.

Do I need to do anything during the ride?

No. Tap Record Ride, ride, tap Stop. Segments are timed automatically and turf is claimed when your loop closes.

Why didn't my recap show any turf?

Turf only comes from a loop that closes back on itself. A ride out and back on the same road doesn't enclose any land.
