Idaho events
Idaho motorcycle events, rallies and bike nights
Idaho motorcycle events are mostly local and mostly summer: weekly bike nights from Coeur d'Alene down to Boise, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls, charity poker runs and season kickoff rides, then toy runs in the fall. For a big rally, Idaho riders ride out to Sturgis, Reno or Anacortes. Here's the calendar and how to find and post local events in the free Rippin' app.

What Idaho's motorcycle calendar looks like
Idaho doesn't have one giant rally. It has a steady summer of local events run by clubs, dealers, bars and charities. These are the kinds that come around every year. Dates change, so check the organizer.
- Season kickoff and blessing of the bikesSpring rides and bike blessings mark the start of the season around Boise, the Magic Valley and eastern Idaho, usually once the valleys warm up in April or May.
- Charity poker runsTraditional poker runs, where riders draw a card at each stop and the best hand wins, raise money for local causes all summer. Clubs and veterans' groups host many of them.
- The Distinguished Gentleman's RideEvery May, riders dress sharp on classic and vintage-style bikes and ride to raise money for men's health. Check the DGR site for rides in Boise and other Idaho cities.
- Holiday toy runsToy runs collect gifts for kids in the fall, often before the snow sets in. Most are posted by clubs and dealers a few weeks ahead.
Worth the ride
Big rallies within a long day's ride
- Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, South DakotaEvery August. From eastern Idaho, the classic route runs through Yellowstone and over the Beartooth Highway (US 212) to Red Lodge, Montana, then east. The Beartooth only opens in summer, so check before you go.
- Street Vibrations, Reno, NevadaReno's fall rally, usually in late September. From Boise, it's a long run across the Owyhee country and northern Nevada.
- The Oyster Run, Anacortes, WashingtonA free gathering usually held in late September. From north Idaho, ride across Washington on US 2 or SR 20 and make a trip of it.
- Laughlin River Run, NevadaA spring rally on the Colorado River, usually in April. A long way from Idaho, but a good excuse for an early-season trip south.
Dates change year to year. Check each organizer before you plan.
